  • NFL UK

    Episode 18

The opening game of the 2011 season sees the Dallas Cowboys travel to the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to face the New York Jets.

The Cowboys were out of the play-off picture by the halfway point of last season, but made dramatic improvements once Jason Garrett took over as Head Coach. Now, with quarterback Tony Romo back from injury, big things are expected in Big D.

Expectations can't get any higher for the New York Jets. Beaten in the AFC Championship game two years running, coach Rex Ryan has already made it clear that a Super Bowl appearance is a minimum requirement this time.

On an emotional anniversary for New York City, and the whole of America, nothing less than a victory will do for the Jets.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 19

The Philadelphia Eagles travel to the Georgia Dome to take on the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons were the revelation of last season, compiling the best record in the NFC, before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champions, Green Bay Packers, in the play-offs.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been christened this season's 'Dream Team', after recruiting over a dozen experienced free agents, including quarterback Vince Young, signed just as a back-up for Michael Vick. Vick, who started his career with the Falcons, remains the league's most exciting player.

Presented by Danny Kelly, with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 20

Action from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, where the Colts play host to last year's Super Bowl runners-up, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Colts couldn't keep enough talent on the field around Peyton Manning last season and fell at the first Play-Off hurdle to a game-ending field goal from the New York Jets. This season the worry has been Manning himself, as the former four-time league MVP struggles to recover from off-season surgery.

The Steelers looked the powerhouse of the AFC last term, winning the Conference title behind a typically robust defense, a brutally effective running game, led by Rashard Mendenhall, and the inspirational leadership of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. They'll be hard to beat again this season, thats for sure.

Presented by Danny Kelly with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 21

The New York Jets at the Baltimore Ravens could easily be a preview of the AFC Championship game, as two of the strongest teams in the Conference face off at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

The visiting New York Jets got off to a flyer with a dramatic opening-day win over the Dallas Cowboys, but will Rex Ryan's pre-season 'guarantee' of Super Bowl victory still come back to haunt them?

The Ravens certainly have the defense to stop the Jets in their tracks, and Joe Flacco might be ready to fulfil his potential as one of the league's elite quarterbacks, in his fourth season as a starter.

Presented by Danny Kelly with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 22

Green Bay Packers at the Atlanta Falcons.

This fixture from the NFL pits two of the NFC's leading play-off contenders, and two of the league's top young quarterbacks, against each other.

At 27, and with a Super Bowl victory under his belt, Aaron Rodgers has almost entered the 'grizzled veteran' stage of his career. Yet this is only his fourth season as Green Bay's starting play-caller, so his best football could still be ahead of him.

Matt Ryan is just a year younger than Rodgers and has led the Falcons to winning records in each of his three seasons in Atlanta. It was Rodgers and the Pack who ended the Falcons' season last year with a painful 48-21 drubbing in the Divisional Play-off game.

A full house at the Georgia Dome will raise the roof for the visit of the reigning World Champions.

Presented by Danny Kelly with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 23

This clash from the NFL is an old-fashioned NFC North tear-up from Soldier Field, where the Chicago Bears host the Minnesota Vikings.

These two teams have been playing each other twice a year since the Vikings joined the League in 1961, when they shocked the dominant Bears with a 37-13 debut win.

In this their 100th regular season meeting, Jay Cutler's Bears will certainly start favourites, having won the last three outings. But can new quarterback Donovan McNabb rally his Vikings to another memorable victory?

Presented by Danny Kelly with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 24

On the day that the NFL returns to London for its now-annual Wembley game, Channel 4 is broadcasting another live match from the States.

Tonight, the Indianapolis Colts travel to Louisiana to face the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome, where a traditional Deep South welcome awaits them.

There's also a special report from that game at Wembley, where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Chicago Bears amid the party atmosphere that British fans habitually bring to America's game on its UK outing.

Presented by Danny Kelly, with analysis from Mike Carlson

  • NFL UK

    Episode 25

Dallas Cowboys at the Philadelphia Eagles. This fixture from the NFL is an NFC East clash between two bitter rivals who are both looking to put somewhat shaky starts behind them.

Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys displayed an alarming propensity to lose from winning positions in the early weeks of the season, and will be eager to get one over on their divisional foes the Philadelphia Eagles.

After making exciting recruitments prior to the season, the Eagles were expected to live up to their 'dream team' billing. But, as things stand, they desperately need their star quarterback Michael Vick to lead them back to their explosive form of last year.

The rivalry between the Eagles and Cowboys is intense, so expect a powder keg atmosphere in Philadelphia for this one, as the Eagles welcome the Cowboys to Lincoln Financial Field.

Presented by Danny Kelly, with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 26

An AFC North clash between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers, from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.

The Ravens and Steelers, the fiercest of rivals, met in the first week of the season in what turned out to be a day to forget for Pittsburgh.

A typically physical encounter saw Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger pounded mercilessly by a hungry Ravens defensive unit, and he coughed up possession seven times as a result. The Steelers will be desperate to overturn that 35-7 defeat from opening day, and will be glad that this instalment of one of the NFL's most intense rivalries will be on their home field.

Perhaps Steelers' wide receiver Hines Ward summed it up best when he said: 'They don't like us, and we don't like them. There's no need to hide it, they know it, and we know it'.

Presented by Danny Kelly, with expert analysis from Mike Carlson, with special studio guest, the former Detroit Lions linebacker, Zack Follett.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 27

This fixture is an AFC East clash between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets.

The Patriots, still hurting from their home defeat to the Jets in last year's play-offs, have started this year in typically dominant fashion.

The New York Jets, on the other hand, have been gloriously inconsistent. Their colourful coach Rex Ryan promises Super Bowl triumph every year, but so far this year his team have yet to show the requisite form. Victory over the Patriots would go a long way to restoring confidence in New York, and would bolster Ryan's play-off ambitions.

The MetLife Stadium in New Jersey hosts the latest chapter of this intriguing rivalry.

Presented by Danny Kelly, with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 28

Philadelphia Eagles at the New York Giants is a rematch of one of last year's games of the season.

On that occasion it was DeSean Jackson who scored on a 65-yard punt return on the last play of the game, as the Eagles stunned the New York Giants 38-31, scoring 28 points in the final eight minutes of play. A repeat performance would further bolster a Philadelphia team that initially struggled to live up to its 'Dream Team' moniker in 2011, but seems to have found stability in the running of LeSean McCoy.

The Giants will be after revenge, however, and would like nothing better than to derail the play-off chances of their bitter NFC East rivals.

The action comes from the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Presented by Danny Kelly, with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 29

NFL action from Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri, as the Kansas City Chiefs entertain the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Thanksgiving weekend match-up.

These two AFC hopefuls haven't met since 2009, when an extraordinary game was decided in overtime, with a field goal kicked by a rookie kicker who was selected as the very last player in that year's draft.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have looked unstoppable at times this year, but have had their season blighted by a pair of defeats to their huge divisional rivals, the Baltimore Ravens.

They will be favourites to beat the Chiefs, who are themselves in an ultra-competitive division, but Kansas City have been unpredictable this year. If quarterback Matt Cassel is on a hot-streak, and the 'Chief Nation' are in full voice, the Steelers could be in for another uncomfortable night.

Danny Kelly presents, with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 30

This NFL game comes from the Superdome in Louisiana, as the New Orleans Saints entertain the Detroit Lions in a vital NFC clash between two play-off contenders.

The Lions have been something of a surprise package this year, with an explosive offense centred around the extraordinary receiver Calvin Johnson, or 'Megatron' as he is more commonly known. As a result they are firmly in contention for a wildcard play-off berth, completing an extraordinary rise from a winless season in 2008.

New Orleans will be a true test of the Lions' playoff credentials, however, as a cast of impressive receivers, led by the standout tight end Jimmy Graham, will be looking to put on a show for their loyal fans and cement their position atop the NFC South.

Expect both teams to favour the pass, in what should be a quarterback shootout.

Danny Kelly presents, with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 31

This NFL fixture features the New York Giants' visit to Arlington, Texas, to take on the Dallas Cowboys.

The play-offs are beginning to loom large for these two NFC East rivals, and victory here would be a huge step towards the post-season for either side.

The Cowboys have been struggling for consistency, but they may have found their run game just in time for the end-of-season push.

Eli Manning has looked every inch the elite quarterback in a strong Giants offense that has been grinding out victories, while the New York defence wreaks havoc on opposing quarterbacks.

The impressive Cowboys Stadium plays host to what should be a classic divisional match-up, with plenty at stake as the regular season enters its final four weeks.

Presented by Danny Kelly, with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 32

The game comes from the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, where the Baltimore Ravens take on the San Diego Chargers.

The Ravens look to be a genuine Super Bowl contender this year, having already beaten their AFC North rival, Pittsburgh Steelers, both home and away. Baltimore's success is always built on a mean defence, but quarterback Joe Flacco is also showing his ability to mastermind game-winning drives under the guidance of the inspirational head coach John Harbaugh.

The Chargers have had an uncomfortable season, but in Phillip Rivers they have a quarterback able to win any game, so the Ravens can't take their play-off momentum for granted.

Danny Kelly presents, with analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 33

The penultimate weekend of regular-season NFL games sees the Chicago Bears take on the World Champion Green Bay Packers in a classic NFC North match-up.

The Packers look untouchable in 2011, seemingly scoring touchdowns at will behind the most dominant quarterback in the NFL - Aaron Rodgers.

The Bears will certainly be the underdogs in this one, particularly after losing quarterback Jay Cutler to injury, but they'll need no extra motivation beyond the desire to beat their huge divisional rivals on their home turf, at the iconic Lambeau Field.

This rivalry is intense and typically very physical, so expect an explosive atmosphere to round off the Christmas celebrations.

Danny Kelly presents, with expert analysis from Mike Carlson.

  • NFL UK

    Episode 34

This weekend's game from the NFL is part of the season finale, as teams face their last chance to book a play-off berth.
