3. nice try ed out there you have to think like a wild animal. bear steaks are on the menu and skinned remains will bring dinner to you. the wild life is there all around you but they scare easier than you.

4. I have gone for several days without talking to anyone. I was not in the wild but alone nevertheless. What would your adventure be like if you did not know when it would end or if it could end?

5. Glad to see you got so far ED. I did similar in northern Maine years ago. Soooo... tell me... did the cameras/task help to keep you screaming your head off out of loneliness as you ran streaking through the forest? Looking forward to September :)

10. Looking a little on the thin side. Good place for new camp. Hopefully there is time to "smell the roses", but it seems much time is devoted to the hunt for food. I guess it was the same for early man. You can look back later and realize just what an accomplishment this trip was.

13. A rotten log will feed him. Pound for pound grubs have much more protein than beef. Earth worms are rich in vitamin A. Bee larva excellent too.

19. Sometimes I feel guilty just eating a hot meal. I check Ed's progress daily and just feel like airlifting him some hot soup sometimes! Hang in there-there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
