Series 9 Summary

Funnyman Alan Carr presents the ninth series of his award-winning chat show. Viewers will be rewarded with more unashamedly addictive celeb-fuelled antics, mischievous chat, plus top musical performances, as our lovable host is joined by a wealth of international and home-grown stars.

  • Alan Carr: Chatty Man

    Episode 1

    In the first show of the new series, Alan is joined by US pop star Pink who chats, and sings her latest single, Blow Me (One Last Kiss). Gok Wan shares news of his new Channel 4 dating show, Baggage. And Alan will be joined by The Last Leg host Adam Hills and some of the recent athletic stars from ParalympicsGB.

    Episode 2

    Matt Smith joins Alan to talk about the new series of Doctor Who. Jack Whitehall, Charlotte Ritchie, Greg McHugh, Joe Thomas and Kimberley Nixon from Fresh Meat give Alan the lowdown on the second series of their hit sitcom.

    Kelly Osbourne talks about E!'s Fashion Police, which she stars in alongside Joan Rivers, Paralympic 100m champion Jonnie Peacock is in the studio, and Example performs his single, Say Nothing.

    Alan is joined by comic and TV presenter Paddy McGuinness and Dragon's Den entrepreneurs Theo Paphitis, Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones; Strictly Come Dancing celebrity contestants Kimberley Walsh, Louis Smith and Jerry Hall, while music is provided by Conor Maynard, who performs Turn Around.

Plus music from Paloma Faith, who sings Never Tear Us Apart.

Plus, Noel Gallagher chats and perform AKA... What a Life from his latest album.

    Sir Ian McKellen talks about reprising his role of Gandalf for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and Miranda Hart gives the lowdown on her award-winning series Miranda.

    And music is from Kylie Minogue who performs a special version of Better the Devil You Know from her latest album, Kylie: The Abbey Road Sessions.

    Alan's Christmas special is full of festive frolics plus the odd song or two by house band McFly, who perform a special medley of their greatest hits.

    Chart toppers JLS join Alan on the sofa along with ex-Dragon's Den star Hilary Devey and David Walliams, who drops by to talk about Christmas.
