I have loved History all My life but it is excellent to get the view of this - My nations history - from the view of the men who fought as opposed to the monarchs they served. I found the plight of the innocent farmers and villagers to be heart rending. At the same time It caused Me to swell with pride and My nations heritage.

This was a saddening tale and i was nearly in tears at the end. If you think about it, if the saxons had won, england would be in a very good state now
