Time Team returns for its 16th series, traversing the country to investigate a range of archaeological sites of historical importance, utilising state-of-the-art graphics and the latest technology to provide instant analysis. Aided by the pick of the country's experts, Tony Robinson leads the core team of Mick Aston, Phil Harding and Helen Geake as they set out to solve 13 new archaeological mysteries.
Highlights of the new series include an exploration of the world famous Salisbury Cathedral in search of a lost bishop; the discovery of a Bronze Age village on the wet and windswept coast of County Antrim; an excavation of London's Lincoln's Inn, home to hundreds of the nation's legal professionals, to find signs of the first lawyers to settle there; and the story of the lost medieval castle of Scargill in County Durham.
