Month TBCEndgame is an explosive feature-length thriller about the end of Apartheid in South Africa; starring a distinguished cast including Oscar-winning actor William Hurt (A History of Violence), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Dirty Pretty Things), Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting), Mark Strong (Low Winter Sun), Clarke Peters (The Wire), Derek Jacobi (I Claudius) and Timothy West (Bleak House).
Written by Bafta and Emmy-winning screenwriter Paula Milne (The Politician's Wife, The Virgin Queen), the feature-length drama is inspired by the extraordinary secret talks that took place at a time when civil war in South Africa seemed inevitable and involved key Afrikaners and ANC exiles meeting in the unlikely setting of an English country house to discuss ways of ending Apartheid.
The thriller is directed by Pete Travis, who returns to Channel 4 following his award-winning drama Omagh and recent Hollywood blockbuster Vantage Point. Produced by Daybreak Pictures, Endgame is executive produced by David Aukin and produced by Hal Vogel, the team behind highly-regarded Channel 4 dramas The Hamburg Cell, The Government Inspector and Britz.
