4Dance 2008
4Dance 2008 celebrates the best of dance on film from around the world, and is presented by hip-hop artist Jonzi D. The films in this 90-minute special are diverse, ranging from Liz Aggiss's ebullient Diva to the soulful beauty of Pontus Lidberg's The Rain.
Specially commissioned films from the UK include Round 10, a surreal domestic boxing match between choreographer/ performers Eddie Kay and Imogen Knight; Fresh, a spaghetti western shot from the knee-down featuring Robert Hylton Urban Classicism, and Falling, a mesmerising film made by composer Errollyn Wallen, who was inspired by her astronaut friend and his journey into space. Made in collaboration with choreographer Henri Oguike and film maker Dan Farberoff.
