Teenager stabbed to death in south London

A 15-year-old schoolboy has been stabbed to death in a south London street.

The teenager was set upon in Camberwell, south London, on Wednesday afternoon.

Metropolitan police officers found the teenager in Cormont Road, on the Myatts Field Estate at around 4.15pm.

He was taken to hospital suffering from stab wounds to the upper body, but doctors were unable to save his life.

He was pronounced dead at 10.30pm.

The boy’s next of kin have been informed, but he is yet to be formally identified.

Police sources confirmed a murder hunt had been launched but were unable to disclose if there had been any arrests.
