'Shall we kiss?' Silent Royal Wedding words revealed

Prince William cracked a joke at the Westminster Abbey altar and told his bride she looked “beautiful”, according to lip readers watching the Royal Wedding on Friday.

As the Prince waited while millions around the world tuned in to watch the wedding, his best man and brother Harry nervously commented “Right, she is here now”, as the bride began her walk up the altar.

Turning to his bride as she joined him at the altar, Prince William told Kate she looked “beautiful”.

After initially appearing nervous, the Prince smiled broadly and joked with his father-in-law Michael Middleton, saying: “We’re supposed to have just a small family affair”.

The joke by William to Mr Middleton in Westminster Abbey was spotted by Tina Lannin, lipreader for O’Malley Communications.

Following the ceremony the Royal couple were cheered on their way to Buckingham Palace for the famous balcony kiss.

As tens of thousands swarmed towards the Palace gates the newly weds appeared on the balcony flanked by the Queen and members of their families.

As they made their way onto the balcony to greet the flag-waving crowd of 500,000, Kate, the new Duchess of Cambridge, said to her groom “Oh wow”.

“Are you ok?” William asked.

“I’m fine thanks,” Kate replied while William commented: “That’s a lot of people.”

After waving to the masses who chanted “kiss”, William lent to Kate and said: “Are you ready? You ready? Shall we kiss?”

To a beaming smile from his wife, the Royal couple shared a fleeting but traditional kiss on the Palace balcony.

But seemingly one was not enough – moments later the Prince once again lent to Kate and said “one more kiss?”

The new Royal princess obliged and had a second kiss with her husband much to the delight of the crowd.
