Australian cricketer Phil Hughes remains in an induced coma after being struck on the head by a short-pitched delivery during a game.
He underwent scans on Wednesday morning but medical staff at Sydney’s St Vincent’s Hospital, where he is being treated, have not made the results public.
Australian captain Michael Clarke is among the players to have visited the 25-year-old, who “remains critical” following the injury sustained in a domestic first-class match on Tuesday.
I can’t believe what I’ve just heard about Phil Hughes. Everything crossed for a full and speedy recovery. He’s a cracking bloke.

He fell face first onto the pitch after pausing for a few seconds following the blow to his head.
Reports in Australia suggested that the batsman stopped breathing at one point and required mouth-to-mouth resuscitation beside the pitch.
