Ann Oakes-Odger founded KnifeCrimes.Org and the 'Westley's Weapons Awareness' anti-knife education programme for Schools, following the murder of her Son Westley Odger in 2005. In 2006/07 alongside Safer Schools Officers from Forces around the UK spoke at Conferences and in Schools about the consequences of becoming involved in crime. During 2008 in partnership with Essex Police teamed up with the 2 Smart Roadshow to successfully engage thousands of Yr.7 Pupils about Knives, Bullying, Alcohol and Drugs! This Award winning Educational Roadshow in 2009 is already exceeding all previous bookings by schools wishing to attend.
