ROSALYN HARPER, LIBERAL DEMOCRAT, SURREY HEATH

Rosalyn Harper is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Surrey Heath. She lives in Heatherside, Camberley, right in the middle of the constituency.

Rosalyn has been campaigning for over two years on local issues, including trying to save local post offices, installing CCTV, improving road & rail safety and scrapping the council tax.

She was born in Norwich and brought up in North Essex, where she attended state boarding school in Bishop’s Stortford and Colchester Sixth Form College. She graduated in Law from The Nottingham Trent University. She is now a solicitor, currently working as a consultant to a worldwide investment bank.

Her political campaigning began 13 years ago with her father, Colin, who is a Lib Dem Councillor. She was recently re-elected for a third term to the Federal Executive of the Liberal Democrats.

Rosalyn works closely with the Gender Balance Task Force and takes an active role in encouraging women and young people to become more involved with politics.

Previously, she was Vice Chair of the Liberal Democrat Youth & Students leading campaigns against the War on Iraq and top-up fees.

Rosalyn, 31, enjoys playing 5-a-side football and watching rugby. In the past she has been involved in amateur dramatics and ju-jitsu!
