Joint Committee
In order to save time or for other reasons of convenience, either the House of Commons or the House of Lords may call a Joint Committee. These consist of an equal number of members of both Houses and they exercise similar powers to select committees.

Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments
This is a joint committee of both Houses that is part of Parliament's examination of Statutory Instruments. It is sometimes known as the Scrutiny Committee. The committee does not consider the merits of a statutory instrument but may draw it to the special attention of the two Houses on a number of grounds; for example, if the powers granted in the parent act may have been exceeded.

Journal
Both the House of Lords and the House of Commons produce a Journal for each session. The Journal is the legal record of the proceedings of Parliament. It is not a word for word record of everything spoken, but is a description of all the decisions taken.
