Dominic Grieve is the Conservative MP for Beaconsfield and was appointed Shadow Home Secretary in June 2008 after the resignation of David Davis. Grieve was born in Lambeth and was a police station lay visitor for six years from 1990. He also worked in Brixton on various bodies set up to reconcile communities after the riots in 1981.
Peter Hitchens is a British journalist and author who has written and presented several current affairs documentaries for Channel 4. A reporter for the Daily Express for most of his career, he left the paper in 2001 and currently writes for The Mail on Sunday. He is the author of 'A Brief History of Crime'.
Dawn Butler is the Labour MP for Brent South and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Youth Affairs. She was born in London to Jamaican immigrant parents and was only the third black woman to become a British MP.
David Gustave is an educational motivator working with hard to reach youngsters in London. After a tough background as a youth in South London, he turned his life around and won a place to read history at Oxford University at the age of 32. He also stood as a Liberal Democrat candidate for Southwark Council in 2006.
IAN LEVY
Ian Levy is the founder of The Robert Levy Foundation & director of Through Unity. The foundation was set up after Ian's son Robert was stabbed to death in 2004 when he tried to protect a younger boy from an attack by another youth. The foundation primarily operates in Hackney to mentor young people and offer alternatives to a life of crime and violence. Through Unity is an organisation set up to provide support to families in the even a loved one is lost through violent crime.
