These days working with developing countries is an altogether more reciprocal affair. It's not a question of parachuting in money or expertise - it's about genuine collaboration to the benefit of all parties involved. Critically, issues of sustainability, scalability and self-help through empowerment are at the fore.
This section highlights some ideas and case studies around innovative approaches to investment and microfinance; the benefits of collaboration, networking and mentoring; the role of communications and information technologies; and the critical importance of education. The emphasis throughout is on reciprocal exchange and genuine partnership.
