The Teach Inn Hotel
Mr. Hannington, local church warden and the hotel co-ordinator/manager: "This community has never seen anything like the hotel project. I think it will really benefit our community, so people from all around the world, from places like the UK, Ireland and Australia can enjoy the beauty of Uganda".
The Teach Inn Hotel is a guesthouse with stunning views. It was a derelict structure that was intended to be a school, but was abandoned. Now it's an eleven bedroom guesthouse open year-round to act as accommodation for i-to-i volunteers who come to the village to teach English, mentor children and coach sport.
The project owners are Deirdre, Seb and Tony.

In the six months since it opened, it has received 40 guests bringing estimated revenue to the community (over the year) of £15,000. It employs three full-time salaried staff. Three hundred students at the school are able to receive English and sports lessons from i-to-i volunteers.
A second hotel is planned for a nearby village next year.
