history of the 20-year war in northern Uganda between the government
and the Lord’s Resistence army led by Joseph Kony, a self-proclaimed
prophet who claims to receives orders from the spirit world and leads

original footage and interviews with academics, Mahmood Mamdani and

Invisible Children

In a chance trip from Sudan to Northern Uganda, three young Californian
filmmakers discovered and documented the devastating effects on
children being kidnapped and forced to become soldiers. Championed by
Human Rights Watch and shown at Amnesty International screenings, the
filmmakers’ educational programme takes the film to US schools and
colleges and hopes that international attention will encourage peace
talks between the northern rebels and the Ugandan government
