19.00: Nick Clegg has told Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow “to put it politely we were stuffed” over tuition fees, whether the Liberal Democrats had gone into coalition with Labour or the Tories. He also defended his actions on the NHS reform bill. Watch the interview above.

10.00: In a speech to mark today’s first anniversary of the coalition Nick Clegg concedes times are tough for the Lib Dems and that “vital questions” must be asked about the future of the party. He says the Coalition will not fail but it must “change”.

A year of the Coalition – add your voice

The Coalition reaches its first anniversary in far from celebratory mood, with both David Cameron and Nick Clegg saying that their parties will take a more “businesslike” approach to their partnership in the coming year.

The PM has insisted the Conservative partnership with the Liberal Democrats will survive a full five-year parliamentary term to 2015, but acknowledges that more of their arguments will be played out in public.
