Jon Snow passes 100,000 Twitter followers

Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow has clocked up more than 100,000 followers on Twitter – more than any other news anchor in Britain.

Jon Snow and his Twitter cake.

Jon Snow‘s key achievements in journalism have involved reporting on the fall of the Berlin Wall, the release of Nelson Mandela and some chap called Barack Obama becoming US president.

But now the Channel 4 News presenter has a new feather in his cap: he has more than 100,000 followers on Twitter.

After sailing past the social media milestone, Jon said: “It’s not the numbers, it’s the content. But we’re a troupe and we’re bound upon a journey of exploration.

“Facts, findings, suspicions, hopes. I hope more will join us on our interactive adventure.”

Jon has also been added to more than 2,600 lists by Twitter users interested in updates from influential journalists.
