PC Simon Harwood, the Metropolitan Police officer involved in the G20 protests death of Ian Tomlinson has been charged with manslaughter and will face trial.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission launches an investigation into fresh allegations that the police withheld evidence in the Ian Tomlinson case.

Ian Tomlinson's family say they want to see Pc Simon Harwood go on trial for manslaughter after an inquest jury ruled he killed the newspaper seller unlawfully.

A Home Office pathologist, the second to conduct a post-mortem on Ian Tomlinson, rejects Dr Freddie Patel's finding that the newspaper salesman died of natural causes. Simon Israel reports.

Dr Freddie Patel, the under fire pathologist of the G20 death, continued to insist that Ian Tomlinson died of natural causes despite two other reports claiming it was due to internal bleeding.

The pathologist who controversially found that Ian Tomlinson died of natural causes during the G20 protests has revealed he was requested by police "to rule out any assault or crush injuries".
