Children going hungry in the holidays without free school meals

School holidays should be a time of fun and excitement. But charities have warned that many children face going hungry, especially those who’d normally receive free school meals in term time.

In Swansea last week, one food bank said it had run out of basic supplies – pointing to the start of the summer break as one of the reasons why. Our home affairs correspondent Andy Davies reports from South Wales on what’s being done to tackle so-called ‘holiday hunger’.
