The woman, who is now 21, cannot be identified for legal reasons. She is a witness in the trial of nine men accused of 51 counts including rape, trafficking and child prostitution.

The prosecution allege the men groomed vulnerable girls as young as 11 over a period of eight years. She told the court how sometimes she would be away from home for up to eight days.

She claims she was taken to houses and rooms by Kamar Jamil, Akhtar Dogar and Anjum Dogar where she would have sexual activity with the three and others whose names she could not remember.

I would be pretty much passed out drunk and they would take your trousers off anyway…. – Girl A

While she was away she would not be fed or have a proper wash. When asked how she was surviving, she said: “I wasn’t, that’s why I lost so much weight. Don’t be under the illusion I was big before – I was young girl barely started puberty, but my mum described me as skeletal at the time.”

While she was with the men she was often told there would be a party where up to 12 other men would turn up aged 18-late 30s. She said it was “like a pack mentality” and almost all of them would want some sort of sexual relations with her.

She said the men would have sex with her even if she said she did not want to. “I would be pretty much passed out drunk and they would take your trousers off anyway…. I think they thought they could do what they want with you.”

I didn’t like what was going on, I didn’t like the sex it was just something I felt like I had to do – Girl A

When asked about her mental state at the time she continued: “I would be pretty out of it – at that stage I liked the drink and drug element. I didn’t like what was going on, I didn’t like the sex it was just something I felt like I had to do.”

The men would come from all over the country, Bradford, Leeds, Slough and London. She did not know who was arranging the men but Jamil, Akhtar Dogar or Anjum Dogar would always be present when they arrived.

After the men had finished she alleged they would be asked whether they were satisfied and she saw money changing hands, although she was not sure what for.

Girl A cried as she described being subject to extreme violence. On one occasion a man from Bradford who was “big, fat and smelly” tried to choke her to the point that she could not breathe.

She also claimed she was burnt on her forearms with cigarettes on about four occasions. Kamar Jamil, 27; Akhtar Dogar, 32; Anjum Dogar, 30; Assad Hussain, 32; Mohammed Karrar, 38; Bassam Karrar, 33; Mohammed Hussain, 24; Zeeshan Ahmed, 27; and Bilal Ahmed, 26, face 51 counts, including rape, child prostitution and trafficking. The men deny all the charges. The trial continues.
