The app delivers Channel 4's distinctive brand of award-winning news and analysis in a format that is accessible, intuitive and available offline. The app is the latest in a series of innovations from the channel.

Last year, the website was relaunched in order to reflect the values of the 7pm programme, featuring in-depth special reports on topics ranging from the G20 riots to Sri Lanka's civil war, and live blogs on breaking news stories, including commentary from specialist editors and correspondents.

Channel 4 News unveils new app

The app will allow users to share all of this content through social media and email.

The app is available to download from the Apple app store (an Android version is due in the coming months). You can watch Jon Snow talking about the app here, or go here for more info: Channel 4 News App.
