Bring back Fergie? Manchester’s dream candidates for mayor

As George Osborne announces Manchester will have a directly elected mayor, we ask people who they would like to do the job.


Despite Manchester residents voting against having a mayor two years ago, leaders of the region’s 10 councils have agreed to the move which will give policitians there controls of billions of pounds of money.

The chancellor called the deal “a massive moment for the north of England”.

Manchester residents told Channel 4 News who they wanted for the job:
