Biography

Science correspondent Tom Clarke's beat ranges from bird flu to climate change. He joined Channel 4 News in 2003 as science reporter and is now one of our science correspondents.

He started out as a scientist, studying insects in the cotton fields of the American deep south.

Tom trained in journalism in New York, working as a science reporter and producer for American National Public Radio and for ABC television's affilliate network.

Tom returned to his native England in 2000 to work as a reporter for the science magazine Nature, before joining Channel 4 News in December 2003.
