Biography

Nima Elbagir is a reporter for More4 News.

After graduating from the London School of Economics Nima began her journalism career in Sudan where in 2003 she reported for Reuters news agency on the growing conflict in the country's Western Darfur region.

Since joining More4 News, Nima has continued this tradition of compassionate ground-breaking journalism scoring a number of 'firsts'.

Her report on the allegations by Darfuri women and children of abuse by African Union peacekeepers prompted an African Union investigation; it also won her a bronze medal at the New York Festival.

She was also the only Western broadcast journalist reporting from Mogadishu during the US bombing attack on Somalia in January 2007.

Nima has drawn on her specialist knowledge of the Middle East and Africa to bring fresh insight to these regions for More4 News in her location reporting, original film-making and investigative journalism.
