Biography

Martin has been deputy editor of Channel 4 News since October 2002.

He worked on the launch of News at Noon in 2003, and More4 News in 2005, and also has responsibility for our online and mobile content, including the daily Snowmail and our latest venture into podcasting.

Recently Martin also took part in a Royal Television Society debate about the future of investigative journalism post-Hutton in February 2004; spoke at an International Emmy debate in New York later that year about reporting terror; and spoke at an Institute of Public Policy Research seminar on 'A Manifesto for a Digital Britain' in May 2005.

He previously worked at the BBC as deputy editor of The World at One, PM and The World This Weekend and was a launch editor for BBC News 24.
