Biography

Jon is multimedia editor at Channel 4 News, responsible for the web and other multimedia activities.

He joined the team in March 2005 to edit Channel 4 FactCheck, which ran throughout the 2005 General Election campaign.

Prior to Channel 4 News, Jon worked at the Cabinet Office as editor-in-chief of Directgov, the government website that provides access to public services online. He was a member of the project team which designed and built the site and was responsible for delivery of content from across Whitehall.

His full introduction to online journalism came in 1997 when he joined a dot com start-up to launch the business and technology website Silicon.com. As editor-in-chief, he helped launch the site in the UK, Germany and France, managing teams in London, Munich and Paris.

From 1992 to 1997, Jon was a print journalist working on a number of technology titles including PC Week.
