In Nepal, thousands of people have flooded into Kathmandu after King Gyanendra announced a deal he hopes will end weeks of unrest.

The rally was part victory celebration and part continued protest as many demanded the king leave the country despite announcing he had reinstated the dissolved parliament.

With everything to play for, the protesters have warned their politicians not to let them down. Ian Williams reports from the capital's neighbouring town of Kirtipur.
