Updated on 20 May 2010
Three American hikers jailed in Iran after being accused of spying have seen their mothers for the first time in 10 months.
The hikers Sarah Shourd, 31; her boyfriend, Shane Bauer, 27; and their friend Josh Fattal, 27, were held along the Iraqi border after entering Iranian territory.
Their mothers Nora Shourd, Cindy Hickey and Laura Fattal said the Americans were simply hiking in the northern Kurdish region and enjoying the scenery.
