Rescuers have pulled to safety a nurse who had been trapped for 96 hours in the debris of a clinic after Monday's massive earthquake.

Xinhua News Agency said two other people were pulled out of a collapsed building in Beichuan in the northern part of Sichuan province an hour earlier. The area was one of the last rescuers reached after the earthquake.

Rescuers also pulled a pupil to safety. The student had been trapped for 80 hours in the debris of a school following China's massive earthquake, it has been reported.
