John Prescott is to stand down when Tony Blair goes.

John Prescott's barnstorming speech to delegates has become a long-established ritual at the end of the Labour conference.
But today was Mr Prescott's last. He has announced that, after 12 years, he will resign as Labour's deputy leader when Tony Blair vacates number 10.
