Pakistan's tent shortage

Updated on 18 October 2005

By Katie Razzall

A worldwide shortage of insulated tents, plummetting temperatures and still distant relief extends Pakistan's agony.

More than forty thousand people are now known to have lost thier lives in the south Asian earthquake - but now the Red Cross is warning that at least forty thousand others could die in the coming weeks because they're not getting enough help.

Aid agencies say they've only received a small portion of the money they need to save the lives of millions left homeless - as the freezing winter conditions approach fast.

Viewers may find some of the images in Katie Razzall's report very distressing.
