It's not just the usual diet of glamour, glitz and special effects - tonight's Oscar ceremony in Los Angeles looks set to be dominated by serious issues.

The subjects of this year's nominated films range from sexual harassment to oil corruption. A

nd among the British hopefuls vying for an award - Keira Knightly, Dame Judy Dench and Rachel Weisz. Sarah Lockett reports.
