Obama in warning to North Korea

Updated on 14 November 2009

Source PA News

Barack Obama has insisted that the US and the world will not "be cowed" by North Korea's threats and nuclear belligerence.

In a speech in Tokyo during his tour of Asia, the US President said that Pyongyang must learn its failure to meet international obligations on its nuclear arsenal "will lead only to less security - not more".

The president said a brighter future for isolated North Korea lay only in its return to six-party talks with the US, Japan, South Korea, China and Russia.
