'Militants killed in Afghanistan'

Afghan and international forces have killed several militants in eastern and southern Afghanistan, the US-led coalition said.

The coalition said its forces killed "several militants" during two separate operations on Saturday in eastern Khost province and southern Helmand province.

The coalition said in a statement the troops were working with Afghan forces to target insurgents involved in roadside bomb attacks in Khost.
