Two UK hostages feared dead in Iraq
Updated on 20 June 2009
The foreign secretary, David Miliband, says the bodies of two men, feared to be British hostages held in Iraq for over two years, have been handed over to the authorities. Simon Israel reports.

Miliband said the bodies have not yet been identified, but they appear to have been dead for several months. It is believed they are two of five British hostages kidnapped in Baghdad just over two years ago.
David Miliband called it a "very distressing" development and said forensic tests were underway to establish the identity of the bodies and how they had died.
He said his immediate thoughts were with the families of the five Britons who were seized in Baghdad in May 2007 and called for the safe release of all remaining hostages.
