We speak to Martin Mansergh, who negotiated with the IRA for over 20 years on his reaction to their pledge.

The strategy of the British and Irish governments to find a solution to the conflict in northern ireland began in the 90's under the premierships of John Major and Albert Reynolds.

The man in the Irish Taoseach's office who handled the negotiations for over twenty years was the former Irish Foreign Affairs civil servant - now senator - Martin Mansergh - he joins us live from Dublin and tells us what he thinks of the IRA's statement.
