Jackson's funeral cost £600,000

Michael Jackson's private family funeral was fit for a king and had a price tag to match: roughly one million dollars (£600,000).
Court documents showed that his mother, his brother, Randy, and sister, Janet, were involved in the planning and mindful of the huge amount of media attention that would be lavished on the September 3 funeral.
Lawyers for Jackson's mother applied to the estate's administrators and were granted £600,000 to pay for costs that included burial, flowers, cars, security and a post-funeral dinner.
