Iran: 30 years after the revolution

With a new president in the White House and a notable anniversary to celebrate, Lindsey Hilsum asks if Iran's attitude to the west has changed.

"Unclench your fist, and we'll extend our hand." That's the new message to Iran from President Barack Obama.

But 30 years after the Islamic revolution, Tehran's fist is still very much clenched and relations with the west are still tense.

Under President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the country's become more isolated, as it pursues disputed nuclear work.

And with hardliners in key positions of power, most attempts at change have been frustrated.
