Two men have been jailed for a minimum of 28 years for the homophobic killing of barman Jody Dobrowski on Clapham Common in south London - the first time a judge has used the murderers' homophobia to determine sentence.

One of the men had been convicted of assaulting and threatening to kill his mother and had served a third of his 15-month sentence before being released. The licence for that crime expired the day before the murder.
