Hold-up at Cartier jewellery store
Updated on 26 November 2009
Four armed, masked men have made off with hundreds of thousands of euros worth of loot after a hold-up at a Cartier jewellery store in south east France.
Police in the city of Lyon said the robbers smashed through the reinforced glass on the downtown storefront and swiped jewellery and watches from the display cases.
The attackers roughed up the store's manager and slapped one customer, but no one was said to be injured in the melee, which lasted several minutes.
