Families' opposition to executions
Updated on 06 November 2008
Families of Britons killed in the Bali bombings have voiced opposition to the execution of three of those convicted of the plot, which are expected to take place in Indonesia soon.
Indonesian officials have said that the three Islamist militants - Imam Samudra, Mukhlas and Amrozi - will be put to death in early November for their role in the nightclub bombings on the resort island that killed 202 people, and reports suggest that the executions may be imminent.
But Susanna Miller, of the Bali Bombing Victims Group, warned that their deaths may provide a propaganda boost to jihadists in the south-east Asian state.
