European terror suspects arrested
Updated on 12 November 2009
An international terror cell has been smashed with the arrest of 17 Algerians across Europe.
Italian Interior Minister Roberto Maroni said the group was "significant" and had been raising money for terror operations.
The arrests stemmed from an investigation in Milan, and anti-terrorist units from Algeria, Austria, Britain, France, Spain and Switzerland co-operated in the probe, said Milan police.
