Eurostar has to bus passengers from London to Paris as they admit they have no idea when they can restart train services. Keme Nzerem reports.
All Eurostar services are cancelled for the time being at the peak of the pre-Christmas travel rush, affecting tens of thousands of travellers.
Engineers are still trying to establish why the trains' electrics did not function in severe weather conditions leaving many passengers stranded for hours.
Thousands of people have been left stranded as Eurostar cancelled all trains today and admitted it could not guarantee when services would resume.
Engineers are still trying to find out what caused five trains to fail inside the tunnel on Friday night - trapping passengers for hours.
Today 500 of the "most vulnerable" passengers were eventually taken to France and Belgium by ferry and coach.
But there has been no such help for Britons stuck on the other side of the Channel.
