Crash investigations continue

Updated on 25 February 2009

At least nine people are killed, 80 injured, but dozens walk away from the wreckage of a passenger jet at Schiphol airport, Amsterdam.

It was a miracle there were not more casualties, a spokesman for Turkish airlines said after a passenger jet with 135 people on board crashed while trying to land in the Netherlands.

The plane's pilots were among the dead.

Officials said the Boeing 737 broke into three when it crashed just short of the runway, but it didn't catch fire.

Investigators are now trying to establish why the accident happened.

John Snow talks to air crash investigator David Gleave.
