Dozens die in renewed Iraq violence
Updated on 22 June 2009
Bombings and shootings have killed at least 33 people in Baghdad and surrounding areas as violence intensified before a planned withdrawal next week of US troops from urban areas.
Victims of the bombings, nearly all in Shiite areas of the capital, including a group of high school students on a bus heading for their final exams.
They came just two days after the year's deadliest attack, a truck bombing that killed at least 75 people in northern Iraq.
