There's no question that New York City taxi driver Douglas Guldeniz went the extra mile - thousands of them, in fact.

He drove a New York City couple some 2,500 miles to the duo's new retirement home in Arizona.

Now Mr Guldeniz is getting official recognition for what officials believe was the longest taxi ride in city history. He has won the city's Taxi and Limousine Commission's Going the Extra Mile award.
