Bombers strike in Bangalore

The Indian high-tech hub city of Bangalore became the latest victim of a series of bombings by suspected Islamic militants.

One person was killed and at least six injured in the blasts, police said.

Bangalore Police Commissioner Shankar Bidri said five bombs went off within minutes of each other at different spots across the city. One woman was killed in an explosion at a bus stop in the city's Madiwala district.
