Italian soldiers die in Kabul bomb attack
Updated on 17 September 2009
At least six Italian soldiers have been killed in a suicide bomb attack on their convoy in the Afghan capital, Kabul. Nick Paton Walsh reports.
The explosion took place a short distance from the diplomatic enclave housing many Western missions, including the US and British embassies, and the road is frequently used by foreign troops.
It came on the day that President Karzai said he believes in the integrity of last month's election despite the allegations of vote-rigging.
